Enjoy the warm welcome of our lobby with a gorgeous fireplace and sitting area and our Drawing Room with its own fireplace, perfect for your next event or meeting. The Drawing Room opens onto our spacious porch for sitting back and enjoying the sights and sounds of Ashland and is particularly popular with our train fans. Our cozy breakfast area provides the perfect spot to enjoy our newly re-opened kitchen for full breakfast or just sip a cup of tea or coffee and read the morning paper. Our selection of 13 rooms offers a variety of choices for your overnight stay and all feature private baths.
The Henry Clay Inn® offers thirteen guest rooms including two suites. All rooms include complimentary breakfast in our main dining area, cable TV, refrigerators, iron/ironing boards, hair dryers and private bathrooms. The inn provides a second-floor beverage area with a Keurig for coffee or tea at your leisure. Wireless Internet service is available throughout the inn. The entire inn is non-smoking.
The Henry Clay Inn® is named for the orator and statesman who was born in Hanover County in 1777. Henry Clay is known as “the Great Compromiser” and was a candidate for President in 1824, 1832, and 1844.
The Henry Clay Inn® provides the perfect setting for your next business meeting or retreat, whether accommodating 5 or 55 guests.
For out-of-the-ordinary business meetings, the inn’s Drawing Room is the perfect setting.
The Drawing Room offers a private area for your next meeting. This room is located on the first floor of the inn and will seat up to 30 guests depending on room configuration. The Drawing Room is furnished with tables, chairs and includes a gas fireplace, a pull-down screen and access to the front porch. Coffee & Water provided.

The Parlor
The Parlor offers a semi-private area for an informal meeting. This room is situated on the second floor and opens to the upstairs veranda. The Parlor will seat up to 10 guests in a cozy setting with wing chairs, sofa and side chairs surrounding the fireplace. Coffee & Water provided.

Room Rental: $75/hr
All meeting room rentals include coffee and water. Lunch may be brought in by local caterer or restaurant.
Limited AV equipment available
Rates apply 8 AM – 5 PM, Monday – Friday
Half-day rentals based on morning or afternoon rental, for example, 8 AM – 12 PM or 1 PM – 5 PM.
Nonprofit discount for meeting space is 50%.
Guest rooms are excluded.
Small Meeting Room: 6-8ppl. $75/hr. – includes coffee & water and is equipped with a big screen TV for presentations.

Anyone arranging to bring their small(under 30lbs), crated dog, agrees that they will not leave the dog unattended in the room during their visit. A local phone number must be on file with inn in case of emergency. Pet fee is $25 per day.
