The hotel was a beauty in it's day but showing it's age. Rooms are huge and the bed and bedding very comfortable. The staff was incredibly nice and friendly. Would stay there again!

The hallway leading to our room was cut up and covered with duct tape. The door to the room next door had clearly been axed open and an attempt was made to patch it with blue painters tape. The A/C didn’t work. There was pubic hair and soap residual in the shower. The hot water was scalding the minute you turned it on. I grew up in the neighborhood that this motel is located in. It was a very TOP end establishment for years! They should spend some of the exorbitant cost and invest in making this place a safe and decent establishment. The breakfast that they offered wasn’t food that I would feed to pigs and they didn’t have what they claimed to offer on the daily menu! We spoke to several guests and we all had the same opinion of disgust! We have made reservations on line and were locked in, with no chance for refund! The Cabana near there would have been a much better choice and it is a crap hole. My suggestion would be to go ANYWHERE but the Red Lion Downtowner in Boise!

This stay was terrible. The A/C did not work in multiple rooms. The bed sheets had stains on them. There were begs around the room. Will not be staying here again.

The room was nice and somewhat clean. The bed was comfortable and the room was fairly quiet. The coffee maker didn’t work, the ice machine didn’t work, a light was burned out, there was only one small washcloth and the promised breakfast was cancelled. Overall the lobby, the halls and the elevator were threadbare and not very clean. Will not stay there again.

Hotel is a total joke. Ripped carpet, no a/c, busted doors and or holes in door. Minimal staff for guest needs. In short a hotel from hell. We only stayed there one night of four. I expect Expedia to refund the remaining three days they from my card before we checked in if they expect any more business from me.
